BioWare, Alan Wake, and Metal Gear Prepare Reveals for VGAs
The Spike Video Game Awards picture is coming, and three big announcements from BioWare, Rectify Amusement, and Konami are coming with IT.
Say what you volition about the Spike TV Computer game Awards, but they'atomic number 75 hardly the record-breaking mental representation of gaming acculturation. A handout from Spike outlines the basics: "Guests include legendary game designer Hideo Kojima WHO will break the trueness about "Metal Gear Solid: Rising" with a spectacular world premiere, the announcement of a new contrive and new studio from BioWare, creators of Most Anticipated Game of the Year nominee "Sight Impression 3" and the proceeds of XBOX hero "Alan Aftermath" in an all-newborn adventure." The Metal Gear and Alan Wake teasers seem straightforward enough, just it's not clear whether BioWare intends to denote a new episode in an existing series, or a whole young IP. Fans of the previous year's coverage will be entertained to know that Spike will continue its bizarre tradition of selecting the coveted "Game of the Year" from titles that have yet to surface. While many gamers are probably well-equipped to select betwixt Arkham City, Portal 2, and Uncharted 3, Spike has yet to explicate how most mass could cast a conscientious right to vote for Skyrim or Skyward Brand ahead of their releases. Other popular titles, same Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Dark Souls, DO not appear the least bit.
Spike may not have the best practices for choosing 2011's best game, but if last year's trailers are any indication, the announcements alone may be ample grounds to melodic line in. The VGAs will air "in over 100 countries and territories" at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, December 10, 2011 on Spike TV and MTV2.
